1) All three works contain allusions to famous texts. In "Final Word," There was an allusion to Annie Johnson Flint's quote, which contained an allusion to the bible. In "I have a dream," there were allusions to Abraham Lincoln. In The Blind Side, there was an allusion to a famous poem.
2) The writer's choice to indicate this technique benefits the message of these texts by giving the reader a solid example to relate to/go off of, which will help the reader have a connection with the text and understand it better.
3.) Allusions communicate certain messages more easily and help the reader understand them better.
4.) I can use an allusion to other literary works to strengthen my text.
